The Importance of OFA Certification
The Orthopedic Foundation of Animals (OFA) is a not for profit organization, founded in 1966.  Its exclusive focus is on improving the heath and well being of companion animals, through the reduction of genetic diseases. One of the most prevalent and often debilitating genetic conditions for Labrador Retrievers is hip dysphasia.  This makes OFA testing for genetic hip problems a critically important aspect of breeding Labradors Retrievers.

Of the 104,000 Labrador Retrievers certified by OFA, only 12% have had both parents certified excellent for hips.  We are extremely excited that both Morgan and Reggie have been certified OFA excellent in this category.

DockDogs
Both Morgan and Reggie are active members of the worldwide organization of DockDogs and its Eastern Pennsylvania affiliate, Keystone DockDogs.  The last three years have been a very exciting time for Reggie and the Conrads, who qualified to compete at both National and World Championship DockDog events and finished in the finals in 2006 and 2007.  True to his nature as a family companion, he competes with handlers Scott and Dodi Conrad, as well as their nine year old son, DockDogs "Youth Handler", Brayden.  Dodi and Reggie most recently received their invitation for the 2008 World Championships.  Reggie has been featured on "Late Night with David Letterman" and The Outdoor Channel. Reggie is also a therapy dog. 
 
Morgan, a relative newcomer to the sport of Dockdogs, is handled by nine year old DockDogs "Youth Handler", Andrew Fisher.  Her sweet, yet extremely competitive nature shows in her accomplishments with Andrew.  Their achievements include a National Masters Title in their rookie year, two 2008 first place finishes in Extreme Vertical (Cadet Division), a Big Air personal best of 24 feet 6 inches and back to back 2008 Regional Pro Finals Big Air Championships at Codorus' "Summer Blast" and DVGRR's "Liberty Leap"!
